Cloud Cover met for the first rehearsals at Euphoria Studios in Manhattan. If was the first time Matt Kane on drums, Sam Smith on bass guitar and singer-songwriter Kathy Geary on voice and guitar were playing together face to face. Their were five new songs for the debut release from Cloud Cover, the EP “Sky High”. The guys had listened to solo voice & guitar recordings to learn the songs but they didn”t get any chord charts, just lyrics. So it’s interesting to hear how one song, “Duality” came together.
